Why Ìtùnú Africa Uses Cookies
We use cookies to keep our store working — so you can sign in, keep items in your cart and check out securely — and, only if you allow it, to remember your preferences and understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
We ask for your consent before using any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Closing or ignoring our cookie notice is not treated as consent, and no optional cookies are used until you make a choice.

Essential for the website to work. They keep you signed in, keep your shopping cart and wishlist, protect sign-in and checkout from abuse, and remember your cookie choices. The website cannot function properly without them, so they cannot be switched off.

Remember choices you make so the website feels more personal, such as not showing you our newsletter invitation again after you close it or subscribe.

Help us understand how visitors use the website — which pages are visited and which products are viewed or added to cart — so we can improve it. We use our own first-party measurement; no data is sent to Google Analytics or other analytics companies.

We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels (such as Meta, TikTok or Google Ads) or other third-party tracking. If we add any, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again before they are used.
Third-Party Providers
- Clerk provides account sign-in and sets the authentication cookies listed above. Clerk uses Cloudflare to protect its sign-in service from bots and abuse.
- Paystack processes card payments. When you pay, you are taken to Paystack's secure checkout, which may set its own cookies under Paystack's privacy policy.
- Sanity delivers our product images and website content. In our checks this does not set cookies on your device.
Managing or Withdrawing Your Consent
You can change your choices at any time — it is as easy to withdraw consent as to give it. Open Cookie Settings (also linked in the footer of every page), switch categories on or off, and save. When you switch a category off, we stop using it immediately and delete the related data stored in your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop sign-in, your cart or checkout from working.
We ask you to confirm your choices again after 180 days, or sooner if we make a significant change to how we use cookies.
Records of Your Choices
To show that we respect your choices, we keep a record of each cookie decision: a random consent identifier, the categories you allowed, the date and time, and the version of this policy. This record does not include your name, email address or IP address, and works the same whether or not you have an account.
